Abstract:Some basic laws of information values(abbr. H-values) of urban land-use composition are presented in the paper based on the researches of land-use regulations of the cities of Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, etc. The laws may be summarized as follows:①The land-use H-values of the larger cities are greater than those of the smaller ones generally; ②The land-use H-values of the comprehensive cities(multi-function cities) are greater than those of the specialized ones(single-function ones)strictly; ③The land-use H-value of the urbanized area must be greater than that of each function section of a city normally. From the last can be derived a fractal principle of urban structure:The information dimension value of spatial land-use pattern of an urbanized area is greater than that of each type of land in a well-developed city.
